Holiday Lights

light lit

Consider this the bug in your ear, the seed that's being sown, the little reminder that soon you will receive a note about the GBA's Holiday Lights Program. Every year, thanks to your support, we decorate downtown Greenfield and request that you sponsor a star at the $100, $500, or $1,000 level. You are recognized for your support, and we very much appreciate your participation in years past.

Brick + Mortar
Dead Ahead
This year's Brick + Mortar International Video Art Festival features the work of 19 Canadian artists screened in buildings in Greenfield's historic downtown. This Gold-Star-Award-winning festival will be held October 12 and 13, concurrently with the Greenfield Annual Word Festival and the Greenfield Local Cultural Council's 01301: Art by, for, and about Greenfield.

The Brick + Mortar free festival is supported by many area businesses (thank you if you've already bought an ad in the Passport). If you are interested in advertising in a beautiful publication that will be seen by 2,500 residents and visitors, contact Kate. We will be holding a raffle of prizes from restaurants and bars downtown at our booth on the Common during the festival, so stop by, take a chance, and say hello.

Promote Your Business
at the Greenfield Barbecue
Lots of folks from out of town will be smokin' and simmerin' at the 2nd Annual Riverside Blues and Barbecue Festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 6 and 7 from 10 am to 5 pm at Beacon Field.
How would you like to get your business card, coupon, or brochure into their saucy hands? The GBA will be delivering materials that event organizers will stuff in bags for these visitors.
Drop off 150 copies here at the Chamber office and we'll make sure they get stuffed and delivered. And if you want more info about the barbecue, here's a link to the Facebook event.
Greenfield planter
Beautiful Greenfield
Maybe you noticed the beautiful planters on the medians of Main Street near Federal this summer. That was the wonderful work of the Greenfield Garden Club. Now, the GBA is part of a wider effort spearheaded by Garden Club members to make our beautiful downtown even prettier.
The bottom line: We need your donations to keep those planters full and maintained. Your donations of $25, $50 and $100 can help make this happen. We are also working on installing hanging baskets of flowers on the light posts. Imagine how that would spruce up Main Street?
Contact Kate for more information on how to donate, or to get involved in this project.
